More Choice for iPhone users
So the new iPhone is out and for the first time a lot of people are looking at switching mobile phone networks. This is because when the iPhone was first available, it was only available on O2. Over the last 12 months and with the new iPhone4, it has become possible to purchase the phone on the top mobile networks in the UK. This includes O2, Orange, Vodafone and soon T-Mobile.

Which mobile phone network?
If you are thinking of doing this though, which network should you go with? You don’t want to be stuck with the wrong network for 18-24 months, so while there is a shortage of iPhone stock why not try a SIM Only Deal , to try out a new mobile network?

What is a SIM only contract?
A SIM only contract is exactly what it says. The mobile phone network that you choose to go with will provide you with just the SIM card to work in your phone that you already have. This can be either a 365 day contract or a 30 day contract. Typically the 30 day contract will be £5 a month more than the 365 day contract.

How much odes a SIM only contract cost?
A SIM only contract can be as little as £10 a month and up depending on the number of minuets and texts you require. Many of which include unlimited texts and data of 500mb upwards. But typically they will be £20 less than you would pay for the same package with a phone. I have just switched to a SIM only deal with Vodafone for £25 a month V £45 a month I was paying on O2. Why don’t you Compare SIM only deals here and see what you could save.

How often can you switch?
If you are not happy with the network performance than you are free to cancel after 30days (with a 30 day SIM only contract) allowing you free to move and port your number over to another network if you so wish.

So the new iPhone 4 is out in a couple of weeks.  If you still have a few months left on your contract you can choose to buyout the remaining contract in order to be able to upgrade.  So the typical person is on a £45 a month contract, which means with 3-4 months remaining you will be looking at paying £135 – £180 to be able to buy yourself out and upgrade.

Many phone recycling companies are offering around £150 for your old iPhone 3g or 3gs.  I have found a site though that will offer you over £200 for a 16gb 3G and £283 for a 32gb 3GS.  Sign up, send your phone and receive your cash.  Sign up here You don’t have to have an old iPhone, you can sell any old phone you have on here and they offer the best prices that I have seen.

Once you have done this you will then be able to sign up and get yourself the new iPhone 4.  The iPhone 4 is now available on Orange, O2, T-Mobile and Vodafone.  To help you choose the right deal for you why not check out mobiles.co.uk and see what offers they have. There is plenty to choose from even if it is not an iPhone that you are looking for.
